The "Band Jam" was a crossroads in the evolution of the band. Prashant, Steve and CZAR graduated from the University of Illinois and migrated north. Back to their roots in the Chicagoland area.?Art (A-Dub) remained in Champaign-Urbana to finish up one final semester, remaining a member of the group, but limited to weekend shows.?Farsheed (drummer) and DJ Spinnerty decided to split with the rest of the band to pursue their own projects.?With the loss of two essential members of the hip hop band, Prashant and Steve approached Brian Derstine, the drummer for their other (now defunct) live hip-hop project, "Peoples of Paradox," about playing an upcoming Animate Objects show.?DJ Mabbo was called upon to fill-in temporarily for the missing Spinnerty, and Brian approached fellow University of Chicago graduate, Evan Nair-Gill (keys), about filling in on weekday shows for Art.

Original members: CZAR, A-Dub, Prashant, Steve, Farsheed, and DJ Spinnerty form a band to compete in the Battle of the bands against 12 other bands on a whim... they rehearsed A-Dub's "Bluebloods" 3 times in their college apartment before the competition.
The band quickly captivated the audience, who voted them into 1st Place in their first ever performance.
